How a book gets made
Five steps, and you see the whole book before you decide to buy it.
- One
Pick the occasion
Every story is written for a moment, like bedtime or the first day of school, and for an age band: 2–4, 4–6 or 6–8.
- Two
Tell us who the hero is
Their name, their age, three things they love, and a photo. Up to three more people can join them — a sister, a dad, a grandmother, the dog.
- Three
Check the drawing looks like them
Before a single page is drawn we show you one picture and ask a straight question: does this look like them? If it doesn’t, we draw it again, or you send a different photo. Nothing else starts until you say yes.
- Four
Read every page
The whole book, free, before you buy anything. Change the words on any page, rewrite the dedication, title the cover, and redraw a picture you don’t like.
- Five
Approve it, and we print it
Choose hardcover, softcover, or the digital edition to read on a screen. Printed books are 20×20 cm and 30 pages, with a dedication page inside the front cover. Shipping is free on your first hardcover with our email code.
HOW WE ILLUSTRATE
Written by people. Illustrated with the help of AI in our house styles, and checked page by page by you.
The stories are written by people. Each one is a manuscript with its own shape and its own ending, and what changes for the hero is their name, their age, the people around them and the things they love, not the plot. The pictures are drawn in one of our house styles, and you see and approve every page before anything is printed. If there’s a spread we couldn’t draw, drawing it again is free.
