You’ll see their illustrated character before the story is made. You can try another drawing or upload a different photo before approving it. You also see every page before you pay.
You upload a clear photo of the hero and choose a story. We draw them once in that book’s house style and ask whether it looks like them. If it doesn’t, we can draw it again twice, or you can send a different photo. Only after you say yes do we illustrate the pages, into a story written by people. You read the whole book free and approve it before anything is printed.
Their name, their age band, three things they love, and who else is in the book. You can edit the words on any page while you’re making the book, and change the cover text and the dedication right up until you order it.
Yes. See every page, edit the story’s words, and change the cover text and dedication before you pay. Once you place your order, the book is final and we can’t make changes.

A look inside

My name is Pumpkin, and I live with a human called Rosa. Humans are nice, but they can't manage much on their own. They can't hear the postman coming. They can't find crumbs. Luckily, Rosa has me.

Getting dressed takes humans forever, so I make it more interesting. I take one sock and run. Rosa chases me under the bed, round the sofa and up the stairs. By the time they catch me, they're laughing too hard to put it on.

If I could talk, I wouldn't waste words on crumbs or socks or puddles. I would tell Rosa the only thing that matters. You are the best human there is, and I picked you. But I can't talk, so I curl up on their feet instead. They know.

About this story
The family pet has a lot to say. A stolen sock, a muddy puddle, a cushion fort with a password and a very close watch on the peas: one whole day with the hero, told by the one who knows them best.
The hero and their pet are drawn into all thirteen spreads, told at the hero's reading level: 2–4, 4–6 or 6–8. Add a brother or sister too, and they join in.
